Northern's Peacock Makes it Official with Appalachian

Northern Durham quarterback Andrew Peacock is officially a Mountaineer. Peacock made his recent commitment official early Wednesday morning, signing his National Letter of Intent to Appalachian State in the lobby of Northern Durham's gymnasium. The senior led the Knights to a 5-7 season in 2008, finishing 4-3 in the PAC 6 Conference. After missing the playoffs for two straight seasons, Northern Durham went to the first round in November. As a senior, Peacock passed for nearly 2,200-yards and ran for almost 700. He completed 59-percent of his passes last season.
