VYPE High School Sports Magazine Introduces the Inaugural Issue of VYPE-U Oklahoma Recruiting Issue

VYPE High School Sports Magazine has introduced its third installment of a statewide magazine. The VYPE-U Oklahoma Recruiting Issue hit the stands in early March and is sold statewide at Wal-marts, Barnes and Nobles, and other magazine retailers.

Tulsa, OK (PR Web) Tuesday, March 24, 2009 - After delivering the VYPE Oklahoma Football Preview in July of 2008, and the VYPE Fall Report/Basketball Preview in November of 2008, VYPE introduces its third installment of a statewide publication with the VYPE-U Oklahoma Recruiting Issue.

"This is such an exciting time of year for us at VYPE," said Editor-in-Chief Austin Chadwick. "The two previous statewide publications that we produced did so well that our wholesalers and retailers have asked us to produce a third."

The 2009 VYPE-U Oklahoma Recruiting Issue features every student-athlete in the state of Oklahoma who signed a letter of intent to participate in collegiate athletics. VYPE-U covers every sport, boys and girls, and gives its readers an insider's look at the biggest day of these athletes' young lives. VYPE-U also features current NFL players RW McQuarters and Paul Smith with Heisman Trophy winner Jason White as they visit with upcoming stars from the high school ranks; Ronnell Lewis (Oklahoma), Jeremy Smith (Oklahoma State) and Justin Skillens (Tulsa).

In addition to bringing you the most complete coverage of recruiting in Oklahoma high school athletics, VYPE-U also features stories on the Oklahoma women's soccer team and Oklahoma State softball. The recruiting classes for many state colleges are included as well as a look into the 2010 football season and the top seniors for next year's recruiting class. VYPE-U is 200-pages of recruiting news, photos and feature stories of the best athletes in Oklahoma.

"Recruiting is such a big deal in Oklahoma and we wanted to make sure and highlight as many athletes as we could, regardless of sport," Chadwick said. "If an Oklahoma high school athlete signed a letter of intent to play at any college in any sport, there is a good chance they are featured in this commemorative issue."

VYPE-U fits right in with the monthly, free publication of VYPE High School Sports Magazine. "We are not a recruiting service. That is not our model," explained Chadwick. "We will, however, highlight these athletes once they have chosen where they would like to compete in college."

Not only is the publication available in stores, it is also available to view online www.ivype.com or www.vypevideo.com. The digital format of the magazine allows VYPE to utilize video to help provide more access and content to the printed version of the magazine.

VYPE High School Sports Magazine was founded in 2005 to celebrate the dedication and winning spirit of high school athletes. VYPE provides unique high school sports coverage and real-life stories about student athletes in each community it serves. VYPE began franchising its concept in September 2006 and has since grown to 16 different markets. For more information please call 918-495-1771 or visit www.vype.com
