IHSAA AND VYPE HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS MAGAZINE TO PARTNER IN PROMOTING PREP SPORTS

The Indiana High School Athletic Association has announced a partnership with VYPE High School Sports Magazine (Central Indiana) for the 2008-09 school year.

The partnership will allow VYPE and the IHSAA to combine their passions of promoting and supporting high school student-athletes in a positive, exciting manner. At each IHSAA state championship event, representatives from VYPE will be distributing copies of the magazine to fans in attendance. In addition, VYPE will feature a quarterly questions and answers section with IHSAA Commissioner Blake Ress geared toward the fans of high school sports.

VYPE High School Sports Magazine (Central Indiana) is a complimentary publication and one of (14) franchises nationally that serve as the community’s local high school sports authority. To capture the life and style of high school sports athletes, VYPE showcases today’s high school sports community through local interviews, opinions and photos that provide commentary, insight and coverage on what matters most to high school athletes. VYPE currently reaches over 100,000 people each month including distribution at 80 central Indiana high schools and local establishments throughout the community.

VYPE is a national syndicate of locally owned and published magazines and owns over 28 online properties – all providing unprecedented access to the high school athletic community on the local and national level. With a current circulation of 205,000 issues per month, VYPE High School Sports Magazine reaches over 750,000 people.

“We are very excited about working with the IHSAA,” said Phil Temple, CEO/Publisher of VYPE High School Sports Magazine (Central Indiana). “With the IHSAA, we look forward to continuing to bring together the collective interest of the high school sports community, by creating a family friendly, high-impact magazine relevant to today’s youth.”

“Phil and his entire staff do a tremendous job of focusing on the positives associated in participating in high school sports in a first-class manner,” said IHSAA Communications Director Chris Kaufman. “We are excited to partner with VYPE in promoting the positive benefits of participating in high school athletics as well as showcasing a wide variety of student-athletes and their communities.”
