Regular Season Nov 8, 2009
For the Union Redskin baseball team its been a matter of same song different verse. As Jacob Rice hit another walk-off homerun to advance the Redskins in the state playoffs with a 2-1 victory over Moore Wednesday.
The Redskins trailed 1-0 heading into the bottom of the second but Rice's two run homerun finished the game and kept Union in the bracket.
The win means Union will face Edmond Santa Fe at Stigall Field in Owasso as the 6A Bracket A games have been moved due to heavy rain last night and this morning. The game should start at approximately 5:30 following the conclusion of the Muskogee-Moore game that was suspended due to lightning in the sixth inning last night.
