Jenks to face Putnam City in finals

The Jenks Trojans lost to the Muskogee Roughers at Muskogee, but the outcome of the semifinal game had a different result. After the first period Muskogee was winning 20-15, but it would be the last time they had the lead. By halftime Jenks worked up a four point lead, 34-30. The game was still close and going in at half, both teams felt they had a chance at winning the contest. But in the third period the Trojans outscored the Roughers, 16-4 to lead after three, 50-34. The shots started to fall cold for the Roughers and the Trojans never looked back. At the end of regulation Jenks was on top, 69-53. Putnam City won their game by 13 points giving them their shot at Jenks in the finals on Saturday night. It marks the last time either Xavier Henry and Bryson Pope will play for a state title.
