Next Month: Motorsports Madness

The January issue should excite racing fans. With the Chili Bowl coming to town in January we felt it was a good time to give our readers a taste of the kids that participate in motorsports. With organizations like the Tulsa Quarter Midgets or tracks like the Port City Raceway, it's easy to see why Oklahoma is a hotbed for race car drivers. Guys like Jeff Gordon, the LaBonte brothers, and Brady Bacon have taken the turns in Tulsa. For drag racers, the junior dragster program at the Tulsa Speedway is where they hone their skills as drivers. These racers compete on the 1/4 mile track just like the big boys.
