Bishop Kelley Nets Another State Volleyball Title

Bishop Kelley has dominated volleyball for over a decade and their win against McAlester in the Class 5A finals was their 12th title overall and the second straight. The No.1 ranked LAdy Comets defeated the Lady Buffs from McAlester, 25-22, 25-21, 25-18 and finished the season with a record of 29-6. The road to the finals was a bumpy trip having to defeat the likes of Bixby and Carl Albert in the semi's. McAlester had an even tougher road meeting up with Booker T. Washington in the first round and Bishop McGuinness in the semi's. Senior setter Amy Lewis was named tournament MVP while teammates Maggie Hepner and Katie Mailey were named to the All-Tournament team.
