Here's my list of the top 10 running backs in Eastern Oklahoma. Agree or disagree, either way leave a message at the bottom of the story and give me your list. 10. Alvin Everett - Central - Everett is a tough runner who racked up 189 yards last Friday night. His average per carry is 11.1 and he scored two touchdwons. 9. Dalton Irvin - Bixby - Irvin went out in the opener against Jenks and never played a down in the second half. Irvin was on pace to have a great game scoring a touchdown after a Jenks turnover. 8. Dylan Taylor - Vian - Last week Taylor ran the ball only 11 times for 183 yards. That's an average of 16.6 per carry. 7. Jacques Washington - Owasso - Washington gained 128 yards against a tough Muskogee defense. He had a lot of carries, but the game proved he's a durable back capable of taking over if needed. 6. Matt Letney - Victory Christian - Letney could be the surprise pick of the list, but if you watch him play you'll realize he's a tough runner. He averages eight yards per carry and should have bigger games in the future. 5. Darren Pettit - Salina - Pettit had a huge night last week running for 221 yards and two touchdowns. He's one of the best in Class A. 4. Shawn Free - Afton - Free has been a big time player at Afton for a few years now and last week he proved to be a solid back gaining 144 yards and scoring three touchdowns. 3. Drew Molencupp - Glenpool - Molencupp is another runner in a long line of backs from Glenpool. Molencupp ran for 167 yards on nine carries in the win against Berryhill. 2. Jeremy Smith - Union - I know the Broken Arrow defense slowed him down and didn't allow him into the end zone, but he still ran for 92 yards in a tough game. There's a reason he's one of the most highly recruited players in the state. 1. Corey Davenport - Grove - That's right people. The best player you haven't heard of. Davenport is a punishing runner with good speed and a knack for breaking tackles. Last week a ran for 179 yards, two touchdowns, and averaged 11.9 per carry.

Corey could be the best RB, but he is playing QB this year. Grove beat 4A #3 Wagoner Friday 43-6. Corey passed for 287 yards and 4 TD's. He also had 95 yards rushing.
he playz for edmond north, broke his thumb and will finally be back next thursday watch and c
man you need to watch this guy Qua'Don henderson play he's the real deal he can play everything, he's 5'10 190 they play at uco next thursday, watch him trust me
Surprised your boy Ronnell Lewis didn't make an appearance on the list. But if you say Davenport is the real deal I'll take your word for it. But it's still hard to fathom. Smith is a legit runner and sure he was "bottled up" last week against BA...for 92 yards. I think Dewitt Jennings is a special player and I like the energy that Jerrod Green from BA brings. Green has some moves, it's a shame he's out for a couple weeks.
this is stupid you put jeremy smith at 2nd
