Hollis-Kevin Gore

In Hollis, the way senior Kevin Gore sees it, things are pretty simple. "It's God, it's family, and it's football. That's how it is here for us," he said. And in Hollis, tucked away in the Southwest corner of the state, just minutes from Texas, football is pretty serious. Hollis is the birthplace of Darrell Royal, former Oklahoma football great, who went on to coach 20 seasons for Texas. It's also where Gore grew up and knew he would play for the Tigers. "I'm just a small-town kid," Gore said. "And I know in Hollis, this is the best thing you can do. There's great tradition here and it means a lot to get to play."
