Glenpool will try to run away with 4A-2

Tecumseh What you need to know: Glenpool gave Bishop McGuinness a battle in the Class 4A state championship game a year ago before losing. The Warriors will be one of the top teams in the class again. The main reason is because Glenpool knows how to run the ball, and run it well. McLoud also has a strong running game. Star Spencer seems to always start slow, but finish strong. Look for Mannford and Seminole, which is moving up from 3A, to battle for a playoff spot. Player to watch: Marco Nelson, Glenpool. Surprise, another Glenpool running back is one of the best in the state. The Warriors have had a staple of talented runners in the past decade and Nelson is the most current. He is small, but tough and fast. One game you have to see: Glenpool at Star Spencer on Nov. 7. This game could most likely determine the district champion. Both teams have talented runners -- Glenpool's Marco Nelson and Star Spencer's Darwin Rideau. Star Spencer has a stronger defense, but Glenpool has a tougher offense.
