Carl Albert's David Oku, Daytawion Lowe and Shawnee's Brett Davis were selected as nominees for the 2009 Army All-American football game in San Antonio, Texas. The game, which has gained a reputation for selecting the best high school football players in the country, will be played Jan. 3, 2009 at the Alamo Dome. It can be seen at noon on NBC. Oku, a running back, who is ranked among the top 50 players in the country by Rivals, is on the same team at Carl Albert as Lowe, considered one of the top defensive backs in the nation. Oku is listed as the second-best player in Oklahoma by Rivals and lists Florida State, Illinois, Michigan, Nebraska and Tennessee as his college favorites. Lowe is picked as the No. 6 player in the state by Rivals. He lists Oklahoma State and Texas Tech as his favorites. Davis, a Tulsa University commitment, has played quarterback and receiver for Shawnee and will be at receiver this season.
