Class 5A notebook: Tulsa Kelley, El Reno and Shawnee all looking strong

Who’s the favorite? It’s hard not to start with Tulsa Kelley, which upset Tulsa Washington to start district play, then rolled on to an undefeated season that included a pair of shutouts and four 40-plus point performances.

But El Reno and Shawnee certainly have arguments as well with their sterling records.

El Reno’s offense has consistently improved, while its defense has been sharp throughout.

Shawnee’s offense has been its sharpest unit, scoring 33 or more points in every game this season.

Best first-round matchup Lawton MacArthur at Carl Albert is a pretty good bet, but it’s not the best.
