When this run of ten championships in a row started most of these ladies were 9 years old. In 1999 Bishop Kelley began a journey into soccer history. That team marked the start of what has become the longest stretch of titles by one team, boys or girls, in the history of high school soccer in Oklahoma. The game against Booker T. Washington had the fans on the edge of their seats. The first half ended in a 0-0 tie. It wasn't until late in the second half when sophomore Alex Starrett blasted one past the Washington goalkeeper Alicia Zuern for the only score of the match. For the Lady Comets, goalkeeper Katie Bykowski recorded her 13th shut-out of the season. The win not only marked the 10th championship in a row, but the second straight year the Lady Comets finshed the season with a perfect record, 18-0.
