Southmoore's Thompson a Sooner

Tuesday, November 3, 2009

Southmoore quarterback Kendall Thompson has verbally committed to the Oklahoma Sooners according to SoonerScoop.com and other media outlets. Thompson's commitment can't become official until February 2011 when he can sign a National Letter of Intent.

Thompson, a 6-2, 180 pound southpaw quarterback, will attend the same university his father, Charles Thompson, played at under then Head Coach Barry Switzer.

Through nine games the younger Thompson has completed 116 passes out of 174 attempts for 1903 yards with 23 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. He is the second 2011 commitment for the Sooners and joins Southmoore teammates Julian Wilson and Austin Haywood, both of the 2010 recruiting class, as verbal commitments for Bob Stoops' squad.
