It's basketball season, and while we're watching the action on the floor, we also wanted to know about the coaches on the sideline. VYPE asked a few coaches what the major influences in their lives that led them to coaching
What were the major influences in your life that led you into coaching?
|
Chad Campbell John Marshall, Boys Coach |
 | My father, who coached me for a few years, and also my high school coaches Charles Lewallen, Don Ford and Billy Green. They were special people who took care of business, and tried to make a difference in my life and the lives of others. They had a special love for the game and were always trying to make positive progress. |
|
Ben Berry Santa Fe, Girls Head Coach |
 | It was my high school baseball coach Rick MyIntyre. He pushed beyond anything I've ever done, pushed me farther than I ever thought I could go as a player. That's what had the biggest impact on me. |
|
Jennifer Frakes Bishop McGuinness, Girls Head Coach |
 | My high school coach, who now works as my assistant coach, Shawn Clark. The focus, passion, and love he had for the game along with his basketball knowledge is second to none. He's just very infectious. |
