Five Houston athletes were selected from thousands of nominations to participate in the inaugural Football University, U.S. Army All-American Bowl for 7th grade players.

It’s basketball season and eighth-grader Marcus Goodson is on the hardwood of the Legends Sports Complex working with his AAU hoop team.
He’s wearing some oversized Gonzaga basketball shorts to represent his older brother Meech Goodson who plays for the Zags.

Cougar commits to Tulane; one undecided

Katy (Texas) Cinco Ranch had a tremendous season in 2008, winning their district over Class 5A Division II state champs Katy Tigers and producing two Division I athletes.
Defensive end Devin Williams committed to Tulane over the break after visiting the New Orleans-based school. He cancelled his official visit to Kentucky after his commitment.
