Nominate Your Baja Beach Hometown Heroes

one boy winner and one girl winner will be selected at the end of the year and will each receive $1,000 scholarships!

Chrissy Marabella from Holy Name and Drew Gilbert from Antietam were selected from the Baja Beach Hometown Heroes monthly winners and were chosen for their outstanding contributions in their community.

Baja Beach Tanning Club presented $1,000.00 scholarship checks to their two Hometown Hero award winners. Chrissy Marabella from Holy Name and Drew Gilbert from Antietam were selected from the Baja Beach Hometown Heroes monthly winners and were chosen for their outstanding contributions in their community. Baja Beach co-owner Dave Lengle was on hand to present the checks to Chrissy and Drew.
Each month, a male and a female high school varsity athlete will be recognized for their outstanding contributions off the field. These athletes will be named as the month's "Hometown Hero" and will be recognized in VYPE High School Sports Magazine. At the end of the 2008-2009 school year,one male and one female will be selected from the monthly winners as the Baja Beach Hometown Heroes, and each will receive a $1,000.00 scholarship. To be considered, please email nominations to editor.greaterreading@VYPE.com. Please include the student's name, school, year, sport, coach, and a description of why you feel they should be recognized as a Baja Beach Hometown Hero.
