Muhlenber Varsity Swim Team To Host Relay For Life

3rd annual event on July 12th and 13th to benefit the Cancer Society

We decided to hold this event because cancer has touched many lives not only in the Muhlenberg community, but also family, friends and alumni of the Muhlenberg Swim Program. This is our chance to show our support and help fight the battle.

The Muhlenberg High School Varsity Swim Team is hosting the 3rd Annual Swimming Relay for Life on July 12th - July 13th at the MSA outdoor pool located on Darby street in Temple, PA 19560 ...The event begins at 2PM on the 12th and runs until 2 PM on the 13th. During the event individuals, and High School Sports teams will swim/walk in the water or around the pool for a 24 hour period. We make sure that there is someone in the pool swimming continuosly throught the 24 hour event. We decided to hold this event because cancer has touched many lives not only in the Muhlenberg community, but also family, friends and alumni of the Muhlenberg Swim Program. This is our chance to show our support and help fight the battle.
On July 11th the Laurel Run and MSA outdoor summer swim team will also hold a mini relay for life from 9-11AM to also raise money for the cancer society.
During our event we will have games for children, baked goods for sale, candy jar guesses, cancer society facts and information, and a wonderful amount of raffle items donated by local businesses in the area.
All guest fees at the outdoor pool are also donated to the cancer society during the weekend.
Last year we raised over $4,000...we are hoping to raise over $5,000 this year.
