Can’t Decide
Having trouble deciding what to get your high school student athlete for the holidays? HSSTM has you covered. We list some of the hottest items your student athlete may be looking for this season.

Video Games
Guitar Hero 3 “Legends of Rock” is the newest of the popular Guitar Hero series. New song lists feature the bands Pearl Jam, The Rolling Stones, and The Beastie Boys. The game is available on Playstation 2, X-Box 360, Wii, and Playstation 3. It’s a must-have for any gamer who enjoyed the previous Guitar Hero games. Not an aspiring musician? Check out Madden 2008. The game features new rosters as well as improved defensive game play. It’s a game that allows your football fanatic to compete against friends online.

Wheels
Kids love their music. With an iPod connector, they can play their iPod through the car speakers. If your student is fortunate enough to have his/her own wheels, now is the time to be sure it’s outfitted for fun, safety, and convenience. Fun: fuzzy seat covers or cool new stereo speakers Safety: First aid and tire repair kits. (Check out fix-a-flat, which comes in a can and requires no tools. $2.95). Convenience: A remote starter. Now you can start and warm up your car from the comfort of your living room.

College Bound
If your senior will be off to college next year, it’s not too early to start gearing up with some essentials that he/she will need when living away from home. Aside from the obvious (like a laptop computer), a gift that will be appreciated and put to good use is a Global Positioning System (GPS). This handy device will help your college student navigate around new, unfamiliar areas. And to further increase your peace of mind, you might want to put a membership to AAA in his/her stocking.

Counting Down the Days
The HSSTM staff hopes these ideas assist you in getting the perfect gift for your high school student athlete. Whether it’s a new video game or a GPS, you’re sure to score big points on Christmas with items like these nestled under the tree
