Zane Wheatley, a junior at DeSales High School, has played baseball all three years. Zane plays first base, third base, and pitches. “He’s our leading hitter and he’s a nice kid,” says his coach, Tom McAnally. Zane has had several memorable games, including one when he was a freshman when he was called in to pinch-hit in the regional game and he got a game-winning hit. This year, he hit a home run against Fern Creek that put the team ahead by 3 runs.
