"I have been searching for a player like Ashlee Bell since I began coaching over 20 years ago," says Chris Peer, in his first year as head volleyball coach at Spencer County High School. "Since the first day of conditioning, Ashlee has surpassed every goal I have set for her or the team. Ashlee has always been our greatest offensive weapon as a middle hitter, with an average of five kills per match. At the same time she controls our defense as a superior middle blocker and relentless defensive specialist." Peer says he will "push, kick, and pound on as many [college] coaches' doors as possible to show them that Ashlee is a true diamond in the rough.
We asked Ashlee, her dad, Robert, and Coach Peer a few questions to see who knows Ashlee better.
