Central was eyeing dual state championships in the same year, defeating Graves County, Eastern and West Jessamine to make it to the final game of the Sweet Sixteen. Tim Patterson, right, gave it his all for the Yellowjackets in the final game against Holmes. The game went into double overtime, but ended with Holmes ahead, 67-63.
