Meredith King for duPont Manual and Maddie Day for Sacred Heart leap from the blocks to begin the 200-Yard Freestyle Relay event at the KHSAA Swimming and Diving Championships. The Crimson team edged the Valkyries for first place in the event with a record-setting time of 1:35.94. Senior King was followed by freshmen Sarah Barker and Emily Holt and sophomore Caroline Thomas for Manual. The Manual team slipped past Sacred Heart to win the team competition by just four points. It was the Manual girls’ fifth straight state title.
