Shawnee High School, Football Team
The Shawnee Golden Eagles achieved their first ever football playoff victory on November 14 with a win against Spencer County, 32-19. For just the second time in its 59-year history, the Shawnee High School Football team has earned a spot in the Class 3A postseason playoffs. Under first-year coach Ravon Patterson, the team is posting its first winning season since 1970.
