Lauren Kline Repeats Tennis Singles Title

North Oldham's Lauren Kline repeated her State Singles Title in Lexington on Saturday.

After rain delayed play, she defeated Samantha Maddox of Lexington Catholic 1-6, 6-3, 6-0.

Jimmy Roebker of Covington Catholic was the singles winner for the boys.

In doubles play, the Christian Academy of Louisville's Ellie Gerlach and Emily Mallory took the state title for girls and St. Xavier's Kyle Coronel and Alex Gornet claimed the boys' title.

St. Xavier won the boys' team title, with Manual third, Kentucky Country Day in a three-way tie for fourth with Covington Catholic and Lone Oak. Henry Clay was second.

The Lone Oak team won for the girls, with Assumption and North Oldham in a three-way tie for fourth with Russell. Notre Dame and Lexington Christian tied for second place.
