Flip while throwing the ball in:
Leah Mattingly of Javanon Soccer ’95 girls’ team has taken gymnastics for several years and that helps in the full body flip throw-in. She gets a running start, flips her whole body vertically with her head on the soccer ball and lands on both feet in time to send the ball in bounds without mis-stepping. You must keep both feet on the ground in a throw in.
Do a rainbow in Soccer….
Christen McAllister, also of Javanon ’95 girls, walks through a rainbow. When you are up against an opponent and you need to move around quickly you can kick the ball behind you and send it over your head--and your opponent’s head, too. Then you can pick the ball up again and continue down the field or you could use this as a pass to a teammate on the other side of the defender.
