The Trinity Shamrocks won their 4th straight state football championship on Saturday night at Papa John's Cardinal stadium, defeating Simon Kenton, 48-0. The Rocks scored early and often and dominated the 6A championship game. The Rocks ended the season with a 14-1 record, the only loss coming to St.X in the regualr season. Trinity defeated ST.X in the semi-finals 28-21, before beating Simon Kenton in the finals. Trinity was led by seniors Tim Phillips and Jordon Whiting. Trinity scored on their first 6 possesions in the first half and led 41-0 at halftime. Congratulations to Trinity and their state championship!
