Fidanza Headed to Coastal Carolina

John Fidanza of Ballard has verbally committed to play baseball at Coastal Carolina University after being offered a scholarship on Monday. Fidanza was an All-District 27 player as a sophomore, and All-District 27, All Region 7, and Honorable Mention All-State player his junior season. 

Coastal Carolina University has been to the NCAA Regionals 9 of the past 10 seasons and won the Big South conference nine times since 2000. Fidanza was also recruited by Louisville, Kentucky, Indiana, Penn State, Marshall, Murray State, Morehead State, Ohio, Miami of Ohio, Southern Illinois, Western Kentucky, and Middle Tennessee State. He chose Coastal Carolina because of the opportunity to play year round, the coaching staff, facilities and the chance every year to go to Omaha.
