Sacred Heart beats AHS
Two of the regions top volleyball teams met for a second time this year in a battle @ Sacred Heart. The Valkyries defeated visiting Assumption with a score of 25-13, 21-25, 25-21, 25-20. Sacred Heart is currently 17-5 and ranked #3 in the coaches poll, while AHS is 21-3 and currently ranked #2. The two teams met earlier this year at AHS, where the Rockets won. Sacred Heart was led by junior setter Caitlin Dotson, who led the team with 52 assists. Both teams are slated to participate in the Nike Challenge, to be held in Chicago this coming weekend and could meet for a third time. The district tourney begins Oct 13. Good luck to both teams in Chicago!!
