Volleyball Update

Local teams do well in Tourneys
Two of the top teams in volleyball competed over the weekend in major tournaments around the country. Mercy competed in the St.Louis Tournament of Champions by going 5-0. They defeated local powerhouse Sacred Heart in the finals with a score of 25-20 and 25-16. This was the third win of the season for Mercy over Sacred Heart. Assumption, defending state champion, competed in the Las Vegas Durango Fall Classic. The Rockets, currently with a record of 16-3, lost in the finals to #1 ranked La Costa Canyon, CA on Saturday. AHS was currently ranked #15 in the national polls.
