LIVT Tourney

Late last week, Assumption knocked off Mercy in a regular season match at Assumption. Over the past weekend, Mercy turned the tables on the Rockets with a victory in the finals of the Louisville Invitational Volleyball Tourney at OVVC. Mercy, pre-season #1 and AHS, pre-season #2, showed why they may be the teams to beat in the state tournament. Mercy defeated Assumption, 26-28, 25-18, 25-22. Earlier in the day, AHS defeated St. Louis St. Joseph and Mercy defeated Sacred Heart in the semi-finals. Coach Todd Garvey of Mercy was pleased with his team's performance, especially with Kelsey Anderson, a senior who has committed to the University of Alabama. Both teams return to regular season action next week. Congratulations to the Mercy Jaguars!!
