Defending AAA champion, Central Yellowjackets, defeated Male on Friday night, 23-10. The home team knocked off Male, who was ranked number 4 in the Lit ratings. Coach Scroggins was pleased with his team's performance, especially of quarterback Chris King, Stephen Robinson and Jordan Walker. Central racked up 335 total yards and held Male to 127 total yards. Justin Green, Male senior and current signee with Ohio State, was limited to 32 yards on 12 carries. The win for Central helped erase memories of last year's 38-8 loss to Male.
