The KHSAA, Kentucky High School Athletic Association, has added some new positions to its staff. The addition of a compliance coordinator and two assistant commissioners will help parents, coaches, players, and spectators voice their inquiries more effectively. Darren Bilberry, an assistant commissioner since February 2007, has now taken on the title of compliance coordinator. He will continue with other sports assignments as before, but now he will be the main contact for compliance and inquiries. Butch Cope, the director of promotions and media relations for the KHSAA, has been promoted to the assistant commissioner position. Michael Barren, a former athletic director at Paul Dunbar, has also been given the new position of assistant commissioner.
