JVDA Championships for Club Volleyball Begin Friday

The second Junior Volleyball Directors Association Championship tournament for club volleyball teams begins Friday at Kentucky Exposition Center.

Hundreds of club volleyball teams from around the country of girls ages 12-18 will compete for national championships. Girls entering their sophomore, junior and senior years of high school who have not yet committed to play in college may also participate in a talent showcase for over 200 college volleyball coaches.

On June 29, the finals of the 17 Open and 18 Open divisions will be at 6 and 8 pm in Freedom Hall. Admission is free, and the goal is to set an official Guinness World Record for attendance at a junior volleyball match. The event will feature dramatic competition along with prizes and music.
