Trinity High School running back Tim Phillips will play college football at Central Michigan University next year. Phillips is considered a strong candidate for Mr. Football and looks to have a great season.

The 5-foot-6, 165-pound back said Central Michigan was just the right fit for him after he attended a camp there.

Phillips is seemingly in love with his decision. He pointed out how beautiful CMU's campus is and was enamored with the staff.

Phillips runs a 4.4-second 40-yard dash and can bench-press 350 pounds. Phillips' strength is undoubtedly a huge asset for the undersized back. He won the the state powerlifting title in his weight class and placed second at nationals.

Tim's awareness on the field is also unmatched. In his sophomore campaign, Phillips rushed 131 times for 1,200 yards and 22 touchdowns. As a junior, he carried 225 times for 1,852 yards and 29 TDs, leading Trinity to back-to-back state titles.
