Dan Utley to coach Tigers
Dan Utley has been named the new St. Xavier golf team's head coach. Utley, who was the assistant coach at the University of Kentucky from 2003-2005, will replace the long time and distinguished coach, Marty Donlon. During his time of 45 years as the Tiger's coach, Donlon led the team to 16 state championships. Donlon announced he was retiring in May.
Utley is a graduate of Tates Creek High School and the University of Louisville. Prior to getting this job, he worked at the golf division of Octagon Incorporated, a sports agency.
The Tiger's last won the state title in 2004, and look forward to a good season this year, starting Aug 2.
