PRP Wins KY State Baseball Title

PRP received a strong pitching performance from Trey Harper and Zack Cox to beat Lawrence Co. 4 - 1 to capture their fourth State title. The game was played before 2,300 fans at Applebee's Park in Lexington, KY. The Panthers had lost in the semifinals the past two seasons, but beat Appolo earlier in the day 11 - 2, to set up the match-up with Lawrence Co. PRP finished the season 38 - 4, ranked #1 in KY, and #15 in the nation by Rivals.com. Coach Bill Miller completed his 29th season with the Panthers and plans to be back for season No. 30 in 2009.
