As I begin writing this article the forecast for this coming weekend is 80s and 90s. Summer is finally here. But the weather is not the only thing that is HOT in Louisville. I cannot believe the talent and ability we have in our seven counties. Every issue I am overwhelmed with excitement about the latest athlete or team that is introduced to me. I just hope we have enough pages to cover all of you. Please keep the stories coming.

Something else that is HOT is our new name. That’s right, we are now VYPE –High School Sports Magazine. Only the name is changing--everything else is the same. Go to VYPE.com to check out the new web site. You can join the secure VYPE network for free and watch in the coming months for the VYPE apparel and other merchandise.
So stay cool this summer and when you are packing your pool bag, don’t forget your VYPE magazine for poolside reading. Everyone needs to catch the latest words of wisdom from Coach Steve Small and the photos of our local athletes making their extraordinary moves---and you just may spot someone you know.

Let me finish by congratulating all the graduates in our seven counties. Good luck in your future endeavors. And keep us posted…you might be a future subject of “Where are They Now.”
