Mercy Gets 2 Wins in Friday's Softball State Tournament Play

Mercy's softball Jaguars claimed two victories in the first day of the KHSAA Fast Pitch Softball State Tournament at Owensboro's Jack Fisher Park.

In the first game against Ashland Blazer, Ashley McNutt and Morgan Ellington scored in the third inning and the game remained at 2-0.  

In their second game of the day, the Jaguars defeated Christian County 6-0 with the help of a home run by Kellie Quarles.

Mercy will face Allen County-Scottsville at 9 am Saturday.
