Hello, Dallas! Ever since we launched our high school sports magazine in Collin County last fall, you’ve been asking “When are you coming to Dallas?’ We’ll, we’re here!! If you’ve seen our Collin County magazine, you know what we’re about…if not, here goes: Kids. They are our most precious treasure, our life and our future. They are our greatest assets.

It’s really simple. At VYPE, we’re passionate about celebrating the accomplishments of our kids, our community and our schools. VYPE is the largest, free high school sports publication delivering 100-percent positive coverage of high school athletes in their schools and communities in the nation. Our astounding growth is the result of a passionate vision to spotlight the accomplishments of high school athletes, teams and coaches through our customized editorial content in a full-color, high octane, glossy publication distributed free through high profile locations and directly to public and private high schools.

But let’s not forget this is a business. VYPE helps sponsor advertisers reach a large passionate demographic audience with numerous products and services including digital magazines, newsletters, website, event marketing, annual previews and radio and television productions. VYPE.com has created a website for each magazine market that is combined into one platform that creates a local, regional and national community for readers inspired by a lifestyle called “sports.

Sports play a vital role in our Greater Dallas communities. And student-athletes, along with those students involved in band, cheerleading and drill teams, play important roles in our way of life. There are so many examples of great kids, great coaches, great schools and great supporters in Greater Dallas we’ll have no trouble filling our pages with the stories and photos of your kids and your schools.

However, feel free to share with us the stories of your student-athletes, your schools, teams, coaches and supporters. While we will certainly cover the Greater Dallas athletes scoring the most points, we will also celebrate those participants who work hard -- and study hard -- to be a great teammate, student and citizen. Each month, we will provide contents in which to show off the very best Greater Dallas has to offer.

To ensure those stories are presented in the best magazine possible, we’ve named Tim Polzer as our Editor–in-Chief. Tim began his 20-year journalism career covering high school sports right here in the Dallas-Fort Worth area before going on to work as an editor and producer for the National Football League, NFL.com, SportsIllustrated.com and Beckett Publications.

He’s written on the realm of sports from Super Bowls to UIL girls’ regional basketball finals and interviewed the likes of high school heroes turned Hall of Famers Troy Aikman and Michael Irvin, and high school legends such as Todd Dodge. His work has appeared in USA Today, New York Times, Boston Globe, Dallas Morning News and NFL Insider. Tim is also the Editor-in-Chief for our Collin County magazine.

An important part of our coverage of Greater Dallas is its hometown feel. Our contributing writers and photographers live and work here. Todd Wills, David McNabb and Mark Zeske are just a few of the names you might be familiar with. You’ll even see recurring stories from local celebrity sportscasters, and you might even see on local network and cable TV!

So, we’ll see you at the game!

All the Best - JD
