Mark it on your calendar ladies and gentlemen, January 1st, 2008 Volume 3 Number 6, the grasshopper becomes the master. That's right; I have snatched the pebble from the hands of Austin Chadwick. He's officially turning things over to yours truly. This transition took place several months ago, but Austin has maintained a high level of involvement with the day-to-day operations of Eastern Oklahoma and we wanted his continued presence in the magazine each month. As the company has grown Austin has taken on the bigger challenge of assisting current and new franchisees across the country. However, I'm sure he'll show up on the pages in Eastern Oklahoma from time to time. If you made it out to any playoff games you know the weather has officially turned cold. The cold weather means we close the doors to the outside world and move indoors. The East Central girls basketball has won back-to-back state championships, but this season they face more adversity than ever before. Football season may be over, but that doesn't mean we can't rewind the season and relive the stories that made 2007 such a season to remember. The Pioneer wrestling team can hang their hats on a couple of state hopefuls, but are there a few others to keep an eye on? And the third edition of the All-HSSTM football team has been announced. Check out this list of playmakers. Don't forget to check us out online at www.hsstm.com for the latest news nationally and the latest happenings in Eastern Oklahoma. With rankings, player of the week, video, polls and of course the forum, the HSSTM website is your source online for high school sports information.
