Highland Park takes City golf title

The Highland Park girls golf team clinched the St. Paul City Conference championship with a second-place finish in the league tournament on Thursday at Highland National Golf Course.
The Scots scored a 582 to place second behind Como Park's 570 in the 18-hole match that counted with the weight of two regular-season contests. Central took third with a 602.
Central's Brittney Foster won individual medalist honors with an 88, with Sarah Dary taking second with a 95. Foster's teammate, Emma Burgeson was third with a 100, while Highland Park's Libby Stone and Amy Broxender took fourth and fifth, respectively, as each scored a 104. The tiebreaker was determined by the score on the highest handicapped hole.
