Four inducted into MGBCA Hall Of Fame

The Minnesota Girls Basketball Coaches Association inducted four of its own into their Hall Of Fame on Friday night at Macalester College as Pat Bowlin, Tom Gunderson, Willie Taylor and Lisa Lissimore were all honored in-between games of the first round of the MGBCA All-Star Series. Gunderson, Taylor and Lissimore were on hand for the ceremony and received a warm round of applause from those in attendance. Bowlin, who was not able to attend, was honored for his years of coaching at St. Bernard's and Winona Cotter. Gunderson, who currently assists Taylor at St. Paul Central, was lauded for his years of service coaching a number of sports all in the St. Paul City Conference. Taylor, the architect of the dominating Central girls basketball teams of the middle part of this decade, was also noted for his successful stretch at Mounds View High School. Lissimore, who has served as the Minnesota State High School League's Associate Director for the past 20 years, was heralded for her contributions to inner-city basketball.
