High school football's version of the hot stove league is in full swing in the city of Houston. Prospects are emerging all across the bayou city and one highly-recruited athlete is changing schools. Sharpstown quarterback Sam Carter is transferring to Katy Morton Ranch High School for the 2009 season. Carter started for the Apollos the past three seasons. The big lefty holds offers from Houston Baylor and TCU. After a breakout season the Magnolia Bulldogs are prepped for another playoff run in 2009. The Bulldogs are lead by a pair of talented safeties in Easton Hohensee and Daniel Rueda. "Both are over 6-foot-2 and have high football IQs," said coach Andy Sexton. "They both cover the field well and are very physical athletes." Also on the Magnolia radar is Dennis Dunbar who will play quarterback and defensive back for the Bulldogs. Tomball receiver Jordan Leslie is still waiting on his second offer. The 6-foot-2 wide-out had over 1,000 yards receiving as a junior, but holds only one offer from Houston. "Everyone calls about him, but I think there is20a misconception about his speed," said coach Tommy Kaiser. "The kid never stops. He goes from football to basketball to track. Then in the summer he plays AAU basketball and 7-on-7 football. He's a great get for someone." Also receiving interest is 6-foot-6, 220 pound tight end Matt Marfisi.
