The Elite 8 Ford Award presented by News Channel 8 was given to the best male and female basketball players in Eastern Oklahoma live on channel 8. Bill Knight was present to help introduce the players. The 16 nominees were; Boys Nominees: Matt Reynolds - Bishop Kelley Matt Qualls - Tahlequah Bryan Harris - Booker T. Washington Cameron Downing - Memorial Todd Canady -Metro Christian Lane Adams - Red Oak Bryson Pope - Jenks Brock Morton - Holland Hall Girls Nominees: Kevi Luper - Adair Sierra McSpadden - Chelsea Jaci Bigham - McAlester Logan Froese - Claremore Taleya Mayberry - Booker T. Washington Destinee Frierson - Union Sarah Green - Memorial Emily Langston - Metro Christian Ruben Diaz and Bob Hurley presented the Ford Award to Kevi Luper of Adair and Bryson Pope of Jenks.
