Galena Park (Texas) North Shore has been a football factory for years and the tradition continues.

Senior running back Tracy Woods committed to Miami (Ohio) last week and defensive end Jarod Foster was offered by Stephen F. Austin. The pair joins Trey Hopkins (Texas), Alton Demby (Houston), Larry Stephens (Oklahoma State) and DeAndrew White (undecided) as their major Division I prospects for 2010.

The 5-foot-11 Woods is a bruising back with solid pass-catching abilities.

“He has a field presence better than anybody,” coach David Aymond said. “He knows everyone’s responsibility. He can run great routes and can catch the ball. He’s a well-rounded skill player.”

While the 2010 class is wrapping up, the 2011 stars are emerging. Offensive lineman Sedric Flowers has started receiving offers as of September 1st, including LSU, Nebraska, Houston and Texas A&M.

“Honestly, when he got that LSU offer, I think was emotionally overwhelmed,” recruiting coordinator Jeff Cross said. “Getting that paper in your hands really shows that the hard work has paid off.”

Defensive back Miketavious Jones also received his first official offer letter from Oklahoma State University. North Shore has been a hot-spot for Mustang defensive backs recently, with Stephens and Andrea May already on campus.
