VYPE "Game of the Week" at Beech Grove

VYPE High School Sports Magazine is trekking southbound to Beech Grove High School for Friday night's varsity match-up between the host Hornets and the visiting Whiteland Warriors. "Game of the Week" festivities will begin at 6 p.m. with the varsity game set to start at 7:30 p.m. Class 4A Whiteland (12-7) are riding a two-game win streak and finished runner-up in the Mid-State Conference. Class 3A Beech Grove, which is celebrating Senior Night, is 9-9 on the season with two games remaining before the sectional tournament opens on Tuesday night. VYPE HSSM will provide free copies of its latest magazine to spectators in attendance. VYPE HSSM is also make an appearance at the IHSAA Boys Swimming and Diving State Finals at the Indiana University Natatorium on the IUPUI campus Friday night. On Saturday, VYPE heads to the IHSAA Team Wrestling State Finals at Center Grove High School and the girls basketball semistate tournament at Southport Fieldhouse. Wrestling starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Two games are set for the semistate with Class 3A Owen Valley (23-2) vs. Crawfordsville (23-2) at 1 p.m. and Class 4A Mooresville (23-1) vs. Ben Davis (28-0) to follow.
