Jenks Swimmers Dominate State Meet

The Jenks boys won another state title in swimming Saturday and their closest opponent, Edmond North, was 141 points behind. Jenks won the boys 200 Medley Relay, then Jacob Pearce won the 50 Freestyle. The relay team also won the 200 Freestyle and the 400 Freestyle. THe girls team won the state title by 10 points over Union securing their second title in as many years. The girls relay team proved to be too much for the field as they won he 200 Medley Relay, 200 Freestyle Relay and the 400 Freestyle Relay. Valerie Hayes won the 100 Backstroke while Michelle Glass won both the 100 Butterfly and the 200 Freestyle. It was the 10th title for the Jenks girls. Final Standings: Boys Jenks 351 Ed.
