Jenny Ramey, New Life Academy, basketball The New Life Academy senior guard scored 11 points, including nine consecutive, in the final five minutes of a 73-68 win over Southwest Christian on Friday. Ramey, who averages 11 points and nine assists per game, scored 30 points in the win to give her team a 10-0 record in the MCAA. Daeus Jorento, St. Paul Central, swimming The senior had four first-place finishes in the St. Paul City Conference meet, including a school-record time of 22.12 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle. He also won the 100-yard breaststroke and was a part of the 200 and 400 freestyle relay championship teams. Annie Hart, St. Paul Academy, Nordic skiing The junior won the individual Nordic ski state championship at Giants Ridge on Friday with a combined time of 34:51.6, including a time of 18:48 in the classical race. Erik Fagerstrom, Eden Prairie, Nordic skiing Fagerstrom won the boys' state title, posting top times in both the classical (15:48) and freestyle (14:03.8) races.
