DEER CREEK POM TAKES STATE!

Deer Creek High School's Varsity Pom squad won the OSDTDA Oklahoma State Championship title in the 5A Hip Hop category in December. The squad will compete in the Hip Hop and Jazz categories at the NDA National Championship competition March 7 - 8 at the Hard Rock Live (Universal) in Orlando, Florida.  The girls won their bid to NDA Nationals at the NDA Pom Camp last summer by receiving a Superior rating on their Jazz routine. The routine also won the "Innovative Choreography" award.

Last year, the Deer Creek Competition squad won the OSDTDA Oklahoma State Championship title in the 4A Jazz category. They went on to win the National Championship at the American Spirit Championship National Competitions in San Antonio, Texas. In addition, they received the highest scores in senior dance among more than 20 other competitive teams and were selected as the ASC's unanimous winner of the Senior Grand National Championship.
